Acceptable Use Policy

Version v1.2.0 · Effective 2026-05-13 · Last updated 2026-05-13

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP") applies to all use of the Aristo AI receptionist service (the "Service") provided by Pixedi Digital Agency Limited (company number 16968210, registered office Flat 5-7 Leamington Road, Stockport, England, SK5 6BD). The AUP is incorporated into the Terms of Service at /legal/terms by reference. Customers are responsible for their own use of the Service and for the use of the Service by their personnel and any third party acting on their behalf.

2. Prohibited uses

Customers must not use the Service to engage in or enable any of the following:

Illegal activity of any kind, or activity that violates a law, regulation, or court order in any jurisdiction where the Service is used or its outputs are received.

Fraud, deception, scams, phishing, spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, or any practice that misleads visitors about who they are dealing with.

Distributing malware, viruses, worms, trojans, ransomware, or other harmful code, or facilitating attacks on networks or systems.

Harassment, threats, hate speech, abusive content, or content that incites violence or discrimination against individuals or groups.

Sexual content involving children, non-consensual sexual content, or any sexual content delivered to minors.

Deceptive impersonation of a real person, business, public official, or organisation without authorisation.

Collecting sensitive personal data without a proper lawful basis or required consent.

Providing medical diagnosis, medical treatment recommendations, or health-related decisions that require a qualified professional.

Providing legal advice, financial advice, tax advice, insurance advice, or other regulated professional advice that requires a qualified professional.

Handling emergency or crisis situations or providing emergency response — the Service is not a substitute for emergency services.

Making or supporting employment, credit, housing, healthcare, education, immigration, benefits, or other essential-service decisions about an individual, including any high-risk automated decision-making.

Misrepresenting Aristo as a human employee, a real receptionist, or any individual other than an AI assistant.

Circumventing or attempting to circumvent safety features, rate limits, prompt-injection defences, security controls, content filters, or usage caps in the Service.

Uploading confidential, proprietary, or third-party data that the Customer is not authorised to share or that violates a non-disclosure obligation.

Using the Service in a way that violates the usage policies, acceptable-use rules, or terms of service of any third-party provider on which the Service depends, including OpenAI.

3. Automation usage limits

The Service is subject to automation usage limits that protect Pixedi infrastructure, third-party providers (including OpenAI), and other Customers from cost abuse, denial-of-service patterns, and prompt-injection escalation. Customers acknowledge and agree to the following limits:

Plan quotas. Each subscription plan carries a monthly cap on voice minutes, text messages, leads captured, and seats. Quotas reset at the start of each billing period. Quotas may be extended only by attaching the corresponding add-on (e.g. Extra Messages) or upgrading the plan; quota top-ups are not retroactive to the period in which they are purchased except as the order summary expressly states.

Per-session caps. Each visitor conversation is subject to a maximum message count, voice minute count, and elapsed-time cap. The Service enforces these caps at the session boundary and will end a session that exceeds them. Per-session caps are not configurable by the Customer.

Cost circuit breaker. Pixedi operates a platform-wide daily cost ceiling. When the platform-wide cost across all Customers exceeds a published threshold, automated session creation may be paused until the next UTC day rolls over. Affected Customers will be notified by email.

Anti-automation rules. Customers must not script, automate, or otherwise generate Service traffic that is not initiated by a human visitor on the Customer's website. Synthetic traffic, scrapers, automated test loops in production, headless-browser bots, or any pattern that exists to exhaust the Service's quotas or capacity is a breach of this AUP.

No circumvention. Customers must not attempt to bypass any of the limits in this section by modifying the embed snippet to defeat session tracking, by minting tokens outside the documented client integration, by re-using ephemeral tokens, by polling token-mint endpoints, or by any technical means designed to obtain more Service than the Customer's plan provides.

Customers acknowledge that breach of this section may result in immediate suspension under Section 4 (Enforcement) and may give rise to a charge for the actual third-party cost incurred.

4. Enforcement

Pixedi may suspend or terminate access to the Service, in whole or in part, where it believes — acting reasonably — that a breach of this AUP has occurred, is occurring, or is about to occur, where there is a security or legal risk, where a payment failure has not been remedied, or where a third-party provider requires Pixedi to take action. Where reasonably practicable, Pixedi will give notice and an opportunity to remedy before suspending; where action is required to mitigate imminent harm or a regulatory or contractual risk, suspension may be immediate.

5. Reporting

If you become aware of any use of the Service that breaches this AUP, please report it to support@pixedi.com with enough detail for Pixedi to investigate. Pixedi treats abuse and security reports as a priority.

6. Changes

Pixedi may update this AUP from time to time. The version, effective date, and last-updated date at the top of this page reflect the current text. Material changes are notified to active Customers by email or in the dashboard.
